The Beginning of the End

As we near the launch of the new strips next Wednesday, it behooves me to end these re-cap strips with the more depressing elements of the last few story arcs of the strip's prior incarnation.

Bernard's parents decided, after years of not particularly liking each other, to call it quits. While not legally divorced yet, they are currently separated. George, Bernard and Dandy still live in the same house, but Mae moved in with her Mother at a condo in Cleveland. Bernard spends every other weekend there.

What, it can't all be sunshine and rainbows! LIFE IS PAIN! Anyone saying otherwise is selling something!
