While not a strip that introduces any characters, it DOES establish some of the dynamics of Dandy's relationship with his little brother, Mistake. He's very irritated by Mistake's perkiness and enthusiasm, but is not above using Mistake's genius to his own advantage.
FYI, as puppies, Dandy chose the name of his little brother, deeming the need for another dog other than him "a mistake". It somehow stuck.
