REBOOT MADNESS!

While I've been running with this gag for a while now, the announcement that Marvel is actually rebooting it's continuity this summer gave me cause to play with it a little more!

Preparation D

This strip was a blast to draw, setting up the details of Bernard getting ready for school only to be thwarted by Dandy. With the new strips being once a week (for now) it's a little harder to plan out long running stories, but I do have plans to bring back that trope of the strip.

Wild Oats

Here we are, back at Pumpkin's "Wild Oats Ranch". I always liked the oddity of a very prim and proper character somehow trying to teach other dogs to reject the trappings she so strongly clings to. For Pete's sake, she has a RANCH!

Also, eagle eyed readers might notice that it doesn't look a THING like Ohio in December up there. This wasn't a mistake caused by the fact that I'm drawing and writing this strip on October 10th as much as it's that over in my other comic, The Wellkeeper, I've been drawing snowy weather for 4 issues. I didn't want to work around snow, so I just chose to ignore it for now.

Just a League

Continuing the gag that started off the new series, I decided to continue the concept of drawing the gang in the style of other artists with this parody (Not the use of the word "Parody" Warner Legal!) of Jim Lee's cover to Justice League 1.

This was a REALLY hard gag to pull off. Jim Lee and inker Scott Williams have a very specific and detailed approach to their line work, but I don't think I did that bad of a job.

And while these gags are SUPER self-indulgent, they are also SUPER FUN! So, yes, I'll be doing more of these. Heh heh heh.
